We had to get an early start at Fagan Park in Sydney’s north west for the Paterno’s family photography session and lucky we did, as temps were pushing 40 that day! Though turns out it wasn’t early enough since I still ended up dripping sweat like I’d just run a marathon.
The heat did nothing to stop this gorgeous family looking their best though! Luca was a little shy, but he was no match for a Barley Monks Photography session, what with my hilarious dad jokes ; ) Tony was much less of a challenge, he was ready for anything. It was actually hard to snap a photo of him not looking and smiling at the camera.
My definite faves from this shoot have to be the ones of mum & the boys. These beautiful candid moments could not have been directed and I love how much you can feel the love she has for them just by just looking at the photos.
The newest member of this family was Lucky, the staffy x bulldog. I have to admit I was a little worried when Gabrielle said they had a new puppy who she wanted involved – you know the saying “never work with children or animals” – but he was awesome and just quietly I reckon Rafael might have been the favourite! It’s really great to see the relationships between families and their dogs come through in the photos.
Here are some of my favourites from the session:
